Mikayla holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Duquesne University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and families, supporting them through challenges such as emotion regulation, parenting strategies, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, executive functioning difficulties, and attachment concerns.

Mikayla takes an eclectic and individualized approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities to best meet each client’s unique needs. Her primary therapeutic influences include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

She has a particular passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Mikayla is committed to meeting clients where they are and empowering them to recognize and build on their strengths. She believes that meaningful change comes from exploring and integrating all aspects of the self, fostering deeper connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
